Nasi Minyak Ala Masakan India

Nasi minyak adalah resipi yang sangat mudah yang menjadikan iringan hebat untuk mana-mana hidangan India.

Ia sedap dimakan dengan kari ayam dan ayam goreng.

Saya telah selitkan Resipi Nasi Minyak pada akhir video ini dalam versi Bahasa Melayu.

//English Recipe for Ghee Rice

Ingredients :
Basmathi Rice – 2 1/2 cup
Cardamon – 4 pieces
Cinnamon – 1 1/2 sticks
Star Anise – 2 pieces
Bay Leaves – 3 leaves
Ghee – 6 tbsp
Pandan Leaves – 3 leaves
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp

Method :
1) Wash the rice to remove all the starch from it.
2) In a pan with medium heat, add 6 tbsp of ghee and melt it.
3) Then, add in all the spices above. Tear the bay leaves when adding so that it will give more aroma.
4) Now, tie a knot to the pandan leaves and add into the pan.
5) Add 2 tbsp of Ginger and Garlic Paste. Fry it. Add the washed basmathi rice. Mix it.
6) After that, add in 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder. I use the turmeric powder as a colouring agent. Because turmeric powder has natural yellow colour in it and it is healthy.
7) Mix the rice so that the turmeric gets well mixed with the rice.
8) Now, add 1 tsp of salt and mix it. Then, add the rice inside rice cooker and flatten it.
9) Add 5 cups of water. Use the same cup that have been used to take the rice.
10) Cook it for 15-20 minutes. After 20 minutes, you can serve it.
